A love letter. (from me)
Because it was always you.
My dearest,
There is a moment that arrives for every woman.
It isn't that the wheels fall of completely.
Quite the opposite.
Everyone keeps going through the motions.
Meals made.
Laundry folded.
Meetings attended.
Birthdays remembered.
The people you love are cared for.
And yet...
Somewhere in the middle of this beautiful, ordinary life, a simmering ache begins to bubble to the surface.
For a while, we mistake it for exhaustion.
Or hormones.
Or stress.
So we rest.
We reorganize.
We take a vacation.
We promise ourselves that next month we'll slow down.
Still...
the whisper remains.
Because it isn't asking for a break.
It's asking for YOU.
It is the voice that has loved you all along.
The part of you that remembers what it feels like to move through the world with wonder.
To delight in beauty for no reason at all.
To sit in stillness without needing to justify it.
To long for and belong to yourself again.
We have been taught that the sacred lives somewhere far away.
In mountaintops.
In retreats.
In moments when everything finally settles down.
But I have come to believe something different.
The sacred has been waiting in your own life all along.
In the way morning light falls across your kitchen table.
In the sound of your own breath when you stop long enough to hear it.
In the tears that well up when someone speaks a truth your soul already knows.
Perhaps that whisper has found you, too.
If it has...
Don't silence it.
Sit beside it.
Ask it what it has been trying to tell you.
And then...
Listen.
With all my love,
Natalie
